Following the release of Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, dataminers have discovered some unused content hidden in the game’s files.
The content in questions is over 30 minutes of unused voice clips, mostly for the game’s supporting cast comprising the Federation Troopers that get stranded with Samus on Viewros. These would have been featured during the game’s base camp segments, and can be listened to in the video below from 7:38 onwards (Via Bearborg).
The presence of this dialogue in the game’s code suggests that they were cut somewhat late in development. Given that the Federation Troopers have proven to be quite divisive among players, it is possible that the dialogue was removed after considering this negative response.
