Have you wondered how many games have been released physically for Nintendo Switch? Today we have the answer.
According to collector SkulShurtugalTCG, there are over 600 physical releases as of September 6, 2019, about 2 and a half years in the Switch lifecycle. That’s one quarter of the total number of digital releases. Close to 100 games were released by limited print publishers, while nearly 330 games were released at retail in North America.
For comparison’s sake, the PS2 had the highest number of physical releases by the end of its life at 2500 games. Assuming the Switch lasts for 8 years and the number of releases remain constant, there could potentially be 2000 games by the end of its life.
