Ahead of the film’s release next month, Paramount Spain appears to have hinted that a new character will be introduced to the franchise in the Sonic The Hedgehog live-action movie.
In a post on their official Twitter account, Paramount Spain references a character named “Longclaw” in relation to the upcoming Sonic movie. We have included the Tweet below along with a rough translation of its contents:
“I remember that #Longclaw He always told me: “Sonic, go slowly but without pause.” I never got to understand it, really. And what phrase do you remember being told often?
According to Sonic news source Tails’ Channel, “Longclaw” is the name of a rumored new Owl character that will be appearing in the film, though they could not divulge much more details beyond this.
Fans are currently speculating that “Longclaw” may be a new version of the “Old Man Owl” character from the 90s Anime OVA, or perhaps some brand new character created exclusively for the new live-action film.
