Pearl And Marina Dress Up Like B.I.G And Tupac In Splatoon 2’s Octo Expansion

Keen-eyed Splatoon 2 fan @t7s_mon has spotted something peculiar about Pearl and Marina’s appearances in Splatoon 2 Octo Expansion.

@t7s_mon has discovered that Pearl is dressed similarly to American rapper B.I.G, while Marina is styled after American rapper Tupac.

If you aren’t familiar with both B.I.G and Tupac, both American rappers were part of the infamous East Coast – West Coast Hip Hop rivalry, a feud which took place between fans and artists of both hip hop scenes in the US in the 1990s. Both B.I.G and Tupac, friends who became rivals, were fatally shot in drive-by shootings.

Could Pearl and Marina become rivals in the Octo Expansion? Time will tell how things are going to play out!
