Phantasy Star Online 2 Cloud, a MMO that’s streamed directly to Nintendo Switch, will not require players to obtain a Nintendo Switch Online subscription.
This was confirmed by SEGA through the official Phantasy Star Twitter account for users living in Japan.
When the Nintendo Switch Online subscription kicks off next week, players must purchase a plan in order to play online. Several games are excluded from this rule – for example, free-to-play games such as Fortnite and Arena of Valor.
