Pikmin 4 Debuts In Japan With 400k Physical Copies Sold, Biggest Launch In Series History

Pikmin 4, the latest entry in the Pikmin series, has made a big splash in Japan.

According to Famitsu sales data for the week of July 17 to July 23, 2023, Pikmin 4 was the bestselling title of the week, with 401,853 physical copies sold. This marks the biggest debut in Pikmin series history – the previous bestselling Pikmin title at launch was Pikmin 3 Deluxe, which sold over 170,000 physical copies in its first week in Japan.

In addition, the Nintendo Switch family of systems was the bestselling system in Japan last week, with 71,180 units sold.
