Ahead of the game’s release next month, download cards for Pikmin 4 have started showing up in Japan.
The back of the download cards include several screenshots for the game, detailing several features that have yet to be officially discussed by Nintendo. This includes the reveal that the game supports splitscreen multiplayer, as well as an option for a second player to support the first by “shooting with the reticle”, presumably referring to controlling Pikmin with a joycon.
In addition, the screenshots also reveal that players will be able to visit an area that looks like a normal human house, and show off some of the new treasures that will be available to collect. Finally, a logo on the card seen in the images above confirms that the game is developed in Unreal Engine, the second Nintendo game to use it in-house after Yoshi’s Crafted World.
