Platinum Games Boss Comments On How The Studio Would Do a Battle Royale Game

With the Battle Royale genre still going strong with Fortnite being very popular around the world, this caused many developers to create their own Battle Royale games such as with Apex Legends and Realm Royale to cash in the popularity.

In an interview, head of Platinum Games Atsushi Inaba has shared his thoughts on if Platinum Games were to do a take on the Battle Royale genre with many developers still not jumping on in the trend.

Atsushi Inaba has said:

“Yeah, it’s a very interesting genre. Quite frankly, I personally think it would be interesting to see what sort of take we could have on it. We wouldn’t want to make something that was just shooting. With Apex Legends the quality bar is so high that we wouldn’t want to go in that direction. Trying to come up with something that’s our taste in that genre could be very interesting.”
