During BitSummit Roadshow Tokyo, PlatinumGames briefly commented on Bayonetta 3’s development.
Not much about Bayonetta 3 has been revealed to the public, other than a teaser last December announcing it’s coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch. Hideki Kamiya and Atsushi Inaba, directors at PlatinumGames, say everyone is “in sync” and the game is “on course”. Here are their full comments:
“It’s nice to be able to tell you that everything is going very, very well. We’re all very excited about what we’re doing on that game.”
Kamiya also shared how Bayonetta’s iconic gun heels were born – Kamiya had the idea of giving Bayonetta two guns to shoot and hit enemies. The animator, after hearing his suggestion, suggested letting Bayonetta use her guns to kick enemies too.
