Takara Tomy has announced the revival of a classic Pokemon toy from 1997.
The Pokemon 30th Anniversary “Welcome Back! Pikachu 1/1” plush is a remake of the life-sized Pikachu plush toy released back in 1997, about a year after the very first Pokemon games were released in Japan. This plush toy features the classic “fat Pikachu” design, standing about 40cm tall. It is planned to release on February 28th 2026 in Japan, and will be available on Amazon Japan here when its in stock.
