Pokemon Center Japan Has Not Announced Any New Major Products For 3 Weeks

There’s something worrying we have observed in the last 3 weeks – The Pokemon Company has not announced any new major products for Pokemon Center Japan in the last 3 weeks.

The last time a new major product line was announced was February 21, 2020, where The Pokemon Company revealed the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX plushies in Japan.

After February, The Pokemon Company stopped announcing new product lines, such as this year’s Easter merchandise, which is usually announced in early March. The Pokemon Galartabi merchandise, teased last month, is also nowhere to be found.

We could be seeing the effects of the coronavirus affecting production of Pokemon Center merchandise, as most Pokemon Center products are produced in China, Vietnam, and the Philippines. China, in particular, has been hit very badly by the coronavirus, which has also affected production and logistics.

Hopefully we’ll be hearing more from The Pokemon Company in the months to come. But we should all be prepared for delays, with the Easter 2020 merchandise being hit first, even though they aren’t announced at this time.

What do you think? Let us know in the comments.
