Pokemon Center Japan Launches Disobedient Pokemon Capsule Toys

The Pokemon Company has released a new line of capsule toys in Japan.

The lineup features Pokemon ignoring their trainer’s orders, a reference to the obedience mechanic from the games where traded Pokemon who are of too high level will ignore the player’s instructions in battle. Five designs are available, each representing a different phrase that plays when the mechanic triggers.

  1. “Charizard won’t obey!”
  2. “Mewtwo pretended not to notice!”
  3. “Umbreon turned away!”
  4. “Larvitar ignored orders!”
  5. “Starmie is loafing around!”

More details on the lineup can be found here.
