Pokemon fans in Kyoto should probably pay a visit to their local Pokemon Center store soon.
The outlet at Kyoto Takashimaya (5F) will be shuttering its doors from 17 February 2019 (8pm) onward. Following which, the store will re-open at Kyoto Economy Center Suina Muromachi on 16 March 2019.
According to The Pokemon Company’s PR Statement, the new store will be twice as large at 381 square meters. This is to prepare for the inevitable surge of tourists whom will be visiting Japan for the 2020 Olympic Games.
