A few days ago, we informed you that job applications for Pokemon Center Singapore, which is opening in early March 2019, were opened online.
Before the original report was published, 224 job applications were submitted to The Pokemon Company for review. Out of 224, 127 were for the sales associate position, while 97 were for the cashier position.
We’ve been informed by NintendoSoup reader Yoyu that the applications have increased by 3.5 times after our report went live. As of press time, 517 sales associate applications have been submitted, while 268 people applied to become a cashier at Pokemon Center Singapore. So the total number of applications has increased from 224 to 785 in three days.
This probably shows how excited Pokemon fans are for Pokemon Center Singapore, since it’s the first permanent Pokemon Center to open outside Japan.
Thanks, Yoyu.
