The Pokemon Company has set a new Guinness World Record with the help of several Pokemon content creators.
The record was for the “longest unboxing livestream (video)”, and was set through a 24 hour livestream where Pokemon content creators opened hundreds of Pokemon and Pokemon licensed products on stream, including over 1,500 booster packs and over 20,000 Pokemon cards. The event was held to celebrate the launch of the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG), Scarlet & Violet – Surging Sparks – expansion.
At the end of the 24 hour marathon, a Pikachu mascot appeared to accept the Guinness World Record certificate alongside the participating content creators. The opened cards will be sorted into binders and donated to charity.
