Pokemon GO Player Arrested For Punching Another Player In Japan

A Pokemon GO player in Aichi prefecture, Japan has been arrested for physical violence on July 22, 2019.

According to police reports, the 43 year old man repeatedly punched another 44 year old man’s face and nose. The 44 year old man was playing Pokemon GO on the street. The 43 year old suspect was arrested on July 21 and charged on July 22.

Reason for the crime appears to be due to a dispute over Pokemon GO gyms, which many trainers fight over to control for rewards in the game.
