The barrier of entry for raid battles in Pokemon GO has been lowered further. The official Pokemon GO Twitter account posted an update announcing that trainers who are at least level 31 can now participate in raid battles at “select gyms” in different parts of the world. The day before only trainers level 35 and above could participate.
Raid battles are a new feature in Pokemon GO where trainers cooperate with each other to take down a Raid Boss. If the Raid Boss is taken down successfully, players get the chance to catch the powerful Pokemon.
As the feature is rolled out across the world, more players will be able to gain access to raid battles, as Niantic has promised to invite more players in the next few days.
