Pokemon Kaiju Mania Campaign And Merchandise Announced For Japan

The Pokemon Company has announced a month long campaign called Pokemon Kaiju Mania (Monster Mania) for Japan.

Kaiju Mania is described as “a Pokemon trainer who uses Pokemon that are more kaiju-like (monster-like). It is more important that his Pokemon are ‘cool like Kaiju’ than they are strong and are able to round out his team!”

Examples of Kaiju Pokemon include Slowpoke, Charizard, Snorlax, Tyranitar, and Hydreigon.

A month long campaign featuring Pokemon Kaiju Mania will take place at Pokemon Center and Pokemon Store locations across Japan. From June 2 to July 8, 2018, trainers will be able to dress up like a Kaiju Mania and take photos near Kaiju photo spots. You might even be able to take a photo with Kaiju Pikachu!

Kaiju Mania themed Pikachu plush dolls and other merchandise will go on sale at Pokemon Center on June 30.
