Pokemon Legends Z-A Launch Sales 40% Lower Than Pokemon Legends Arceus In The UK
Early physical sales numbers from the United Kingdom have revealed how Pokemon Legends Z-A performed at launch in the region.
According to analyst Christopher Dring, Pokemon Legends Z-A debuted at number 1 in the UK charts for physical game software the week ending October 17th 2025. The figures were 40% lower compared to its predecessor, Pokemon Legends Arceus, with Dring saying it is unlikely to close the gap even with digital sales accounted for. 51% of the game’s sales were for the Switch 2 Edition version of the game.
These early sales figures suggest that Pokemon Legends Z-A will still be a success for the franchise despite receiving mixed reception online from fans, although it may not reach the same level as the first game in the Legends line. However, some point out that Pokemon Legends Z-A is launching close to the holiday season, meaning that its possible buyers are holding off until then to pick up copies. In comparison, Pokemon Legends Arceus launched in January, where there is no such incentive to wait.
Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
