Pokemon Legends Z-A Ranked Battle Season 1 Now Live

The Pokemon Company has started the first season of ranked battles for Pokemon Legends Z-A.

Players can now participate in Ranked Battles by selecting the option in the Z-A Battle Club. Players who reach Rank K during this season will receive the Greninja Mega Stone. Ranks are obtained by accumulating points in battle through the following actions:

  • Knockout an enemy Pokemon
  • Deal the first attack during the match
  • Deal the last attack during the match
  • Be the first to pick up an item
  • Be the first to Mega Evolve your Pokemon
  • Survive the entire battle without fainting once
  • Attacked the most number of opponent Pokemon at full health
  • Defeat a Mega Evolved Pokemon
  • Defeat a Mega Evolved Pokemon using your own Mega Evolved Pokemon
  • Land the most attacks in battle
  • Defeat 1 Pokemon belonging to each of the other trainers in the battle
  • User Super-Effective moves 5 or more times.

All players who participate in the battle will receive points regardless of whether they won or lost.

At the time of this writing, achieving Rank K in this season is the only way to obtain Greninja’s Mega Stone, although it will reportedly be obtainable via other means at a later date. The season ends on November 5th 2025, so be sure to participate if you wish to obtain the Mega Stone early.

Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
