The official Japanese Pokemon Let’s GO Pikachu/Eevee website has revealed new rules trainers have to adhere to before challenging a gym.
Before you challenge the Gym Leader, you’ll need to meet certain requirements that are related to a Pokemon’s type, level, or other stats.
For example, in the Pewter City gym, Brock will ask you to show him a Water or Grass-type Pokemon before you’re allowed to battle him.
To assist players, a new feature called Gym Guide will help trainers meet the requirements by providing tips and advice to fight against the gym and Gym Leader.
