Interesting news coming from the latest Nintendo fiscal earnings on May 8, 2025 – it seems that Pokemon Scarlet/Violet have officially outsold Pokemon Sword/Shield on Nintendo Switch.

According to Nintendo’s official sales figures, Pokemon Scarlet/Violet have sold a grand total 26.79 million units, compared to Pokemon Sword/Shield’s 26.72 million units.

This is impressive considering that Pokemon Scarlet/Violet was released three years after Pokemon Sword/Shield.
