The Pokemon Company has published some updates sales figures for its games software and trading cards.
According to an update on their corporate website, The Pokemon Company has reached 440 million units of software sold worldwide, along with 43.2 billion trading cards. This is an increase of around 60 million software units and 9.2 billion cards over the last fiscal year.
This appears to be a rather significant increase in overall sales compared to previous fiscal years. According to Serebii.net’s Joe Merrick, the Pokemon company sold around 12 million games and 3.7 billion cards during the previous fiscal year, which fell from March 2020 to March 2021.
With the release of Pokemon Scarlet And Violet on the horizon, a game that promises to be a new evolution to the series, it would be interesting to see how these figures will look like next year. Stay tuned for all the details as they come.
