Pokemon Sword And Shield’s Gym Leaders Are Called Gym Masters

Today Nintendo of America tweeted something really interesting about gyms in Pokemon Sword and Shield.

First, the company revealed that gyms in the Galar region are “bigger than ever”, so you can expect gyms to be way larger than they were in previous games. Also interestingly, Gym Leaders are no longer being called “Gym Leaders” – they have a new title “Gym Master”.

It’s unclear whether this is simply a cosmetic change or something way deeper. We’ll just have to wait and see.
