Pokemon Sword/Shield Expansion Pass Director Was The Planner For USUM’s Mantine Surfing

Today we have an interesting piece of news to share with you about Hiroyuki Tani, director for the Pokemon Sword and Shield Expansion Pass.

It was recently revealed by Game Freak that Tani was the same person who planned out Mantine Surfing and the Alola Photograph features in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.

This “promotion” proves that Game Freak is actively grooming their younger employees to take on bigger challenges, which is obviously a good thing for the company.
