Pokemon Ultra Sun And Ultra Moon Has A Post Game Episode, Double The Story Content Of Sun And Moon

In the latest issue of the Weekly Famitsu, Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon developers from Game Freak, Shigeru Ohmori (Producer) and Kazumasa Iwao (Director), were interviewed by the magazine and revealed some details on the game’s development.

After the development of Pokemon Sun and Moon, Game Freak felt there were still things they wanted to do in the Alola region. They decided to make Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon so users can experience a different Alola region before they solidify their initial impressions of it in Pokemon Sun and Moon.

Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon’s story will not be a continuation of Pokemon Sun and Moon. Instead Game Freak decided to have the story “slightly diverge” from Pokemon Sun and Moon.

On the Ultra Recon Squad which makes its first appearance in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, Game Freak says that the moment the squad appears the focal point of the story will change. The Ultra Recon Squad will appear in the game’s opening and the story will thrillingly develop from there.

Unlike Pokemon Sun and Moon, upon completing the main story of Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon players (after becoming the Alola Champion) there will be a new episode for players to enjoy. Players who view Pokemon Emerald and Pokemon Platinum as games with “minor changes” can expect “ultra changes” in Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.

Game Freak also revealed that completing the Pokedex and training Pokemon is fairly easier in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon as compared to Pokemon Sun and Moon. No details on how it’s easier were mentioned.

Using the Legendary Pokemon Solgaleo or Lunala to travel through the Ultra Wormholes, players will eventually discover a world filled with Legendary Pokemon. Game Freak says that players will be able to catch Mewtwo.

Lastly, the story content of Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon can be said to be around double of Pokemon Sun and Moon.

  • Huh, interesting! I'm pretty excited to hear that! More story is always nice, and I'm especially glad the PokeDex will be easier. >u<
