An officially sanction Pokemon Video Game Championships event in Hong Kong has been cancelled.
The event, scheduled to be held on February 2, 2020, was cancelled due to fears of the nCov-2019 coronavirus. The coronavirus has infected over 6000 people and claimed over a hundred lives as of January 29, 2020. Another event that was scheduled for February 9 will still proceed as planned.
