The Pokemon Company has revealed some new details about the special events lined up for attendees at the upcoming Pokemon World Championships 2019.
Firstly, fans will be able to try out demos of two highly anticipated Pokemon titles: Pokemon Masters for mobile and Pokemon Sword & Shield for Switch. Presumably, the Pokemon Sword & Shield demo will be the same one that has been making the rounds since E3.
Secondly, special screenings of the Detective Pikachu movie will be held at the venue. Two will be held on Friday August 16th at 2pm and 6pm, and two will be held on Saturday August 18th at 12pm and 4pm.
Third, a special Pokemon GO tournament will be held at the event featuring Director Junichi Masuda. Other staff from The Pokemon Company will also be appearing at the event, including Tsunekazu Ishihara, Shigeki Morimoto and Shigeru Ohmori.
Finally, Archaeologist Pikachu was revealed as Worlds’ special Pikachu for this year. Fans can expect to see various artwork and merchandise featuring this exclusive character, of which some previews can be found below:
