Previously Unseen New Controller Patent From Nintendo Surfaces Online

An interesting patent from Nintendo has surfaced online, which could be hinting at a new product from the company.

The patent was highlighted by @SillyTweet5 on Twitter, and appears to be for a new type of game controller. This patent was filed last year in July, but has only recently been made accessible to the public on the European Patent Office website. Unfortunately, aside from a few concept images and an intentionally vague product description, not much else can be gleaned from the patent entry.

Upon viewing these images, some have remarked that it looks similar to the top part of an N64 controller, with others expressing excitement that it could possibly be a controller for the Switch’s successor or “Pro” model. That said, without any official word from Nintendo, this will all remain hopeful speculation. Stay tuned for more details as they come.
