After years of rumors and delays, Ubisoft has officially pulled the plug on the Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time Remake.
The game was cancelled as part of a “major organization, operational, and portfolio reset” to “reclaim creative leadership and restore sustainable growth”. This meant the cancellation of multiple projects that “do not meet the new enhanced quality” set out by the initiative, including the aforementioned remake as well as 4 unannounced titles. Resources are instead being diverted to seven unannounced games, including one planned for 2026 that has been delayed to 2027.

The Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time Remake had previously been rumored to be coming to the Nintendo Switch, although there had been relatively little updates about the project aside from continued delays.
