Earlier in September, The Pokemon Company revealed the future of the Pokemon anime series – which follows Ash and a new character journeying through multiple Pokemon regions. While details have been somewhat sparse, we finally have some tidbits about the show’s production team!
From the looks of things, there will be some shuffling of talents – along with new additions to the scenario-writing team. A huge highlight is that the series’ sole composer Shinji Miyazaki will step aside for My Hero Academia composer Yuki Hayashi! Of course, animation studio OLM will continue to helm the series.
You can check out the full details below.
- General Director: Daiki Tomiyasu (replacing Kunihiko Yuyama)
- Director: Kodaira Maki (who was Deputy Director for Pokémon Sun and Moon. Replaces Daiki Tomiyasu)
- Creative Supervisor: Kunihiko Yuyama
- Series Construction: Shouji Yonemura (replacing Aya Matsui)
- Character Design: Shuhei Yasuda
- Scenario Writers: Reiko Yoshida, Shouji Yonemura, Deko Akao, Junichi Fujisaku, Michihiro Tsuchiya, Douka Machida, Yuka Miyata, Aya Matsui, Tomioka Akihiro, Akemi Mende, and more
- Music: Yuki Hayashi (composer from My Hero Academia who is replacing Shinji Miyazaki, the sole composer of the Pokémon anime series and movies for more than 20 years)
- Animation: OLM
