Random: Australia’s Agriculture Department Opened A Sakuna: Of Rice And Ruin Package For Inspection

As fans of the recently-launched Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin will know, the game features a comprehensive rice-farming system that closely mirrors the challenges of cultivating a real rice paddy. Such is the game’s close ties to rice, however, that it appears to have confused some customs officers!

As recounted and shared by gaming enthusiast Jay RPG, their own package of the rice-farming RPG was apparently stopped and opened for inspection by Australia’s Department of Agriculture, Water, and the Environment – seemingly out of ‘biosecurity’ concerns. In all likelihood, the folks handling this package probably assumed that it contained actual rice in the box!

Fortunately for Jay RPG, it looks like their game was more or less untouched by this inspection. Hopefully other customers of the game don’t see a delay due to similar checks in the future!
