Earlier this week, The Pokemon Company released a spooky “rare footage” trailer for Pokemon Legends Arceus, which appears to tease a possible new Pokemon coming to the game.
Since then, fans have been speculating about the identity of the mysterious unidentified Pokemon observed by the researcher in the video, which later appears to attack him. Based on what the researcher said in the clip, it is believed the Pokemon has the following characteristics:
- Similar to growlithe and vulpix
- Swaying tail
- White fur around neck and the top of the head
- Big, round, yellow eyes
- Adorable
- Red fur at the tip of the tail
At the time of this writing, the general consensus is that the Pokemon is a Hisuian variant of an existing Pokemon, although exactly which is still debated. Many fans are leaning towards the Pokemon being a Hisuian variant of Zorua or Zoroark based on what appear to be brief glimpses of the Pokemon near the end of the video, while others suggest it could be a Hisuian Rockruff, Flaffy, or Glameow.
Of course, until we get an official reveal from Gamefreak and The Pokemon Company, these are all just speculation. We will be sure to report back with more details as they come.
