Longtime Nintendo fans may remember that back when Wii Sports was released, there were many stories about players accidentally damaging their televisions and furniture with their Wii remotes, either due to not paying attention to their surroundings or not securing their controllers properly.
With the release of Nintendo Switch Sports on the horizon, Nintendo has issued a PSA to players cautioning them about Joy-con safety. The general tips are to ensure that there is sufficient empty space around them before playing the game, monitor young children when they are playing, as well as to make sure to wear a Joy-Con wrist strap.
Adhering to these safety tips is perhaps even more important for Nintendo Switch Sports, given that the Joy-cons are a lot smaller and more fragile compared to the Wii remotes. Be sure to play responsibly if you’re picking the game up for yourself when it launches on April 29th 2022.
