Barely a month after the game’s official reveal, Nintendo has made an update to the key artwork for Princess Peach Showtime!.
This seemingly innocuous change was spotted by several fans and shared on social media, with the specific changes being to Princess Peach’s facial expression in her main outfit as well as her Kung Fu form. Where the original version depicts her with a neutral expression in line with her past appearances, the updated artwork has her sporting a more intense look more in-line with her portrayal in the Super Mario Bros. Movie.
Although the reason for the change is unknown, it has sparked some discussion amongst fans. Some feel that the new artwork suits the concept of the game better, while others are a bit more skeptical about altering Peach’s longstanding design to be more similar to the new movie.
