Earlier, The Pokemon Company revealed Pokemon Unite – a new team-based battler for Switch and mobile devices. Some keen eyes, however, have spotted a strange mistake in its marketing.
As noted by various folks (such as @Akfamilyhome), the above shot of the Nintendo Switch console during the game’s reveal trailer was mirrored in post-editing for some reason. If you look close enough, you’ll notice that the A, B, X, and Y buttons are somehow on the left Joy-Con instead – while the two analog sticks are in the wrong positions!
This shot occurs right at 0:32 in the trailer and even in its thumbnail, as seen below:
It’s not clear how this slip-up got past the staff at The Pokemon Company, but at least we now have a hypothetical glimpse at what a left-handed Nintendo Switch console would look like in action!
