Despite years passing since its untimely demise, it looks like the ailing Wii U console is still getting one last booster shot.
From out of nowhere, a new indie game has popped up on the Wii U eShop – simply titled ‘Space Intervention‘ by VG && IG. As you can tell from the screenshot above, it’s more or less a knock-off of the classic Space Invaders arcade game with similar low-fi graphics.
Even the game’s description is short and to the point:
“Save our galaxy from the invasion of an alien race.”
It’s definitely really bizarre to see an indie developer suddenly supporting the Wii U console these days. If you still have yours plugged in, however, you can grab this game for just a mere $0.84 (or $0.99 when it’s not on sale).
