Random: Space Intervention Is Now Available on…The Wii U?

Despite years passing since its untimely demise, it looks like the ailing Wii U console is still getting one last booster shot.

From out of nowhere, a new indie game has popped up on the Wii U eShop – simply titled ‘Space Intervention‘ by VG && IG. As you can tell from the screenshot above, it’s more or less a knock-off of the classic Space Invaders arcade game with similar low-fi graphics.

Even the game’s description is short and to the point:

“Save our galaxy from the invasion of an alien race.”

It’s definitely really bizarre to see an indie developer suddenly supporting the Wii U console these days. If you still have yours plugged in, however, you can grab this game for just a mere $0.84 (or $0.99 when it’s not on sale).
