The Pokemon Company and SCRAP have teamed up to organize a real life Pokemon themed escape game called “Escape from the Amusement Park of Wind”.
Escape from the Amusement Park of Wind is a tie-up with the upcoming Pokemon The Movie: Everybody’s Story. Players take the role of participants of the Wind Festival, an annual event that attracts Legendary Pokemon such as Lugia. Evil members of Team Rocket have infiltrated the event, causing a series of strange incidents to take place.
Now that the amusement park has been sealed off, players have to solve mysteries to escape. Players will be able to catch Pokemon in the game to aid them in their quest.
Unlike other escape games, Escape from the Amusement Park of Wind is much more laid back. You can either play alone or with any number of participants, there’s no time limit, and an easier version of the game has been prepared for elementary school kids.
The Pokemon escape game will be held at Tokyo Dome City from July 14 to September 24, 2018 in Tokyo, and Hirakata Park between July 18 to September 17, 2018 in Osaka. Both locations are real life amusement parks.
