As you all know, Nintendo has set a lofty goal of moving 20 million Nintendo Switch consoles by the end of the fiscal year, and some investors are worried they may not hit that goal by March 2019.
What the investors may not understand is how important the holiday season is to Nintendo when it comes to selling Nintendo Switch consoles and generating revenue.
In a Yahoo news report, Nintendo of America COO and President Reggie Fils-Aime said October, November, and December are “critically important” to the company. He explained that 60% of Nintendo of America’s revenue is generated during the holiday season, and that’s because Nintendo products are “the perfect gifts” for consumers.
We believe Nintendo is going to have a spectacular holiday season this year, especially when Super Smash Bros. Ultimate launches in two weeks.
