Reminder: Shaymin Event Mystery Gift Distribution For Pokemon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl Ends March 27th
Nintendo has shared an important reminder for Pokemon Brilliant Diamond And Shining Pearl players.
As mentioned on Twitter, the Shaymin Mystery Gift event is now running for Pokemon Brilliant Diamond And Shining Pearl, allowing players to obtain the “Oak’s Letter” key item by connecting to the Internet. A critical part of this equation is that the distribution will end on March 27th, presumably meaning players will no longer be able to obtain Oak’s Letter via Mystery Gift after this date.

Following the end of this event, the only other readily available way to legitimately capture Shaymin would be via Pokemon Legends Arceus, which requires Pokemon Let’s GO Pikachu/Eevee save data to unlock.
While it is likely that Shaymin will be receive new distributions in the future, there is no telling how long this may take. Pokemon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl players who lack Shaymin may therefore wish to redeem the gift as soon as possible to avoid missing their chance.
- Launch your Pokemon Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl game.
- Ensure that you have Mystery Gift Unlocked.
- Select Mystery Gift on the X menu.
- Select Get Via Internet
