Ribbons Can Now Be Used To Assign Special Titles To Your Pokemon In Pokemon Sword/Shield

Players have discovered an interesting new feature relating to Ribbons in Pokemon Sword And Shield.

For those who may not be aware, Ribbons are a special item in the Pokemon series that can be awarded to Pokemon for various reasons (e.g. completing the Pokemon League, entering Pokemon Contests). They were mostly a way to keep track of the in-game achievements of your Pokemon, and did not have much use beyond that.

In Pokemon Sword And Shield however, Ribbons can be used to assign various titles to your Pokemon. These titles will be attached to the end of your Pokemon’s name when it is sent out into battle, as seen in the images below with “Meowth The Pokemon Fan”.
