“Rivals Direct” Announced For April 1

Rivals of Aether, the Smash-inspired fighting game coming to Switch this year, has announced a “Rivals Direct” on April 1.

The title and logo of the event are an obvious nod to Nintendo Direct broadcasts, which naturally leads to speculation that more details on the Switch version will be revealed. Switch ports of Game Maker games like Undertale and Hyper Light Drifter have already been announced, so it’s possible!

The event might also include a reveal video for a new character. And of course, there’s the chance that the whole thing is a big April Fool’s joke.

In any case, you can catch the event on the official Twitch channel of Rivals of Aether at 10am PT on April 1.
