As many readers will be aware of by now, God of War art director Raf Grassetti had previously released a Star Fox art tribute – which re-imagines Fox and company in hyper-realistic form. Well, it looks like Raf’s beautiful artwork may have sparked off the imagination of another prominent creator from the world of film!
That creator is none other than Gary Whitta, the writer behind Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Upon seeing Grassetti’s artwork, Whitta responded that he would be keen on writing a film based on these versions of team Star Fox! Soon after, Raf Grassetti responded with similar enthusiasm for the idea:
While Nintendo has yet to greenlight a Star Fox film, Whitta’s work in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is already quite well-regarded by the Star Wars fan community. It would definitely be a pipe-dream for some to see both Grassetti and Whitta team up on Star Fox film some day!
What do you think? Would you love a Star Fox film by these creative folks? Feel free to chime in with your comments below!
