Earlier this year, indie developer The Deep End Games unveiled a Kickstarter campaign for Romancelvania: BATchelor’s Curse – a parody of classic Metroidvania platformers where players have to help the lonely Drac court relationships with various monsters. Well, it looks like Nintendo fans can now look forward to taking the game for a spin in the future!
As at the time of writing, the campaign has successfully raised a total of $216,889 against its original goal of $200,000. This means that the game will now be heading toward Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, and PC – with its developers sharing the following message to thank backers for their support:
“WE DID IT!
That’s the update. We actually did it and it’s all thanks to YOU.
Lots to talk about, plan, celebrate, and create, but for now, know that we will be thanking you all for a long time coming.
Today you have made dreams come true!”
For now, the game is slated for a Late 2021 release. We’ll report back as we hear more in the future.
