Earlier this year, Nintendo planned to launch Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp a remake of the first two Advance Wars games for Switch, which they were forced to delay due to ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
Since then, Nintendo has understandably been silent about the project, but a retailer may have provided a hint to when we could expect the game to eventually release. According to reports, Swedish Retailer Coolshop recently sent out emails to customers who pre-orders Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp, stating that the game is now scheduled for release on February 24th 2022. This new date is also reflect on the retailer’s store page for the game at the time of this writing, as seen here.
It should be noted however that Nintendo themselves has not officially acknowledged this date, although it does fall on a Friday, which is typical of most Nintendo releases. That said, others have pointed out that this date marks exactly one year since the conflict in Ukraine started, possibly suggesting that the date is just a placeholder Coolshop is using as an estimate. Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
