Rumor: Datamine May Point To A Monster Hunter Wilds Port For Switch 2
Nintendo fans may eventually have a way to enjoy Monster Hunter Wilds while on the move, if a new datamine is to be believed.
According one dataminer’s recent peek into the game’s latest update files, Capcom has included new references to “NSW2” (a common abbreviation for Nintendo Switch 2) in the game’s list of platforms. Additionally, this “NSW2” profile appears to have unique graphical settings from other platforms – such as the inclusion of DLSS (which Nintendo Switch 2 supports) and a different rendering distance for NPCs/monsters.
On top of this, there are also references in the code for a local multiplayer mode between multiple devices – which would fit the profile of handheld systems that can connect wirelessly with each other, such as the Nintendo Switch 2.

As with all datamines, however, this is not a 100% confirmation that the game will be heading to Nintendo Switch 2. There is also the possibility that Capcom is preparing the game for other handheld systems, such as the Steam Deck.
We’ll report back if Capcom makes any official announcements in the future.
