It looks like Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures might be banking big-time on the success of the Detective Pikachu film.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, a sequel to the movie (launching 10 May 2019) is apparently in the works, already. Of course, we don’t know any plot or story details as of the time of writing.
The only detail supposedly leaked was that writer Oren Uziel will be penning the rumored sequel’s script. Uziel’s pedigree so far is pretty varied, having worked on the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog film, Men in Black International, 22 Jump Street, and The Cloverfield Paradox.
As with all rumors, we advise our readers to take these details with a grain of salt. Given how volatile the movie industry can get, it’s hard to tell if such plans (even if real) will become a reality.
