As many may know, Epic Games’ Fortnite has had a number of high profile videogame crossovers in the past, including icons such as Master Chief, Kratos, and more recently, Ryu and Chun-Li.
Recently, an internal presentation from Epic Games’ June 2020 quarterly business review was released to the public as part of the ongoing Epic v. Apple trial. This presentation details a number of Epic Games’ promotional plans for Fortnite, including not only the aforementioned Master Chief and Kratos, but also none other than Samus Aran from Metroid.
You can view the presentation below (via TheVerge), where Samus appears on slides 35 and 58:
Although Master Chief, Kratos and many of Epic’s other plans have already come to pass, Samus Aran has yet to make her debut in Fortnite. At the time of this writing, it is not known whether a Metroid crossover is still being planned for the title, or if its perhaps been scrapped for one reason or another. We will be sure to report back with more details should they become available.
