For several years now, fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of Silksong, the sequel to Team Cherry’s highly acclaimed Hollow Knight.
As the community goes longer and longer without significant updates from the team, many have begun wondering if something may have gone wrong behind the scenes.
In a comment posted to Discord, Graig, a playtester and semi-regular correspondent for Team Cherry, assured fans that the game is not in “Dev Hell”, and that any difficulties the team is facing are typical of “every dev cycle”. That said, he admitted that Team Cherry could be more clear about communications with the fanbase.
Hi guys I literally know they are not in dev hell
Every software dev cycle ever. Sets internal dates, misses them all the time. Literally a normal part of software dev, You just don’t hear about them because they don’t announce them to the public. Again completely normal for every dev cycle.
I genuinely sympathize with them [Hollow Knight Community] and have said so many times. I agree that [Team Cherry] communication should be better.
