Back in 2020, Genshin Impact creator miHoYo Inc. announced that they would be bringing the game to the Nintendo Switch, a promise that remains unfulfilled despite the company claiming to be still working on it in 2022.
Now, as the Switch makes way for its successor, some signs of life for the mythical Genshin Impact port have surfaced. According to reports from Genshin Impact insider Kuroo, a Hoyoverse account prompt for Switch users has been discovered.
For those who are unaware, Hoyoverse is the publisher handling all of miHoYo’s titles, with the Hoyoverse account serving as a hub for user data across all of them. This not only includes Genshin Impact, but also other games such as Honkai: Star Rail, Zenloss Zone Zero, and in-development titles such as Honkai: Nexus Anima and Petit Planet.
If the report is true, this could mean that miHoYo is planning to bring one or more of their games to the Switch or Switch 2, which would be a big deal even if the long-promised Genshin Impact port isn’t one of them. Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
